FiLia is a charitable organisation committed to the promotion of equality and diversity, the promotion of women’s human rights, and the arts. We showcase a diverse array of feminist thought capable of engaging everyone with an interest in feminism.
In 2015, we were granted charitable status for the purposes of promoting equality and diversity, promoting human rights, and promoting the arts. Our organisation is called FiLia, a word meaning daughter, and which is evocative of our intention to steadfastly continue the work of our foremothers to create a better world for our daughters. At the centre of our work is an annual conference showcasing and disseminating the work of researchers, NGOs, and individuals in the sphere of women’s rights.
